‘They’ve stitched me up!’ Bachelor In Paradise star Mack Reid blames editing for appearing like a ‘blubbering mess’ in Fiji and claims he isn’t an ‘awkward and shy’ guy
Bachelor In Paradise‘s Mack Reid is not happy with how he has been represented on Channel 10’s dating show.
And after viewers mocked his awkward, lengthy smooch with Zoe O’Brien on Wednesday’s episode, the reality TV star has slammed the editing.
In an interview with Now To Love, Mack claimed he had been ‘stitched up’ and insisted he was not the ‘awkward and shy’ guy he has been portrayed as.

‘They’ve stitched me up’: Mack Reid has hit out at Bachelor In Paradise producers for making him look awkward on the show
He added: ‘Look, I’ve been known to fall in love pretty quickly, but the awkward, shy guy tag is just not me.’
‘Even as a child, I was always confident and outspoken and it just sort of baffles me why they keep editing me this way.’
‘There’s a massive editing process that goes into it and they’ve sort of stitched me up somewhat.’

Upset: The reality star claimed producers have given him a ‘s****y edit’ and portrayed him as a ‘blubbering mess’ that’s ‘just not me’
Mack added that that he has been left ‘disappointed’ by his portrayal onscreen, claiming: ‘They genuinely put me in there to look like the awkward blubbering mess.’
‘Do you know how many times my friends and family have said in the past week that, “Your friends and family know who you really are”.’
Angle News Australia have contacted Channel 10 for comment.
He isn’t the only Bachelor In Paradise star to voice their annoyance at how they have come across on the show.

Too much? Mack’s long 30 second smooch with Zoe didn’t go down well with viewers as they complained it was ‘sloppy’ and ‘gross’
Bill Goldsmith, who found himself in the middle of a love triangle with Alex Nation and Florence Moerenhout, accused producers of ‘ruining his reputation’ with unfair editing.
He raged on Instagram last week: ‘Channel Ten and Warner Bros have f**ked me over all for their ratings, and literally f**ked m my reputation.’
‘I’m pretty hurt by the whole thing. A reality TV show doesn’t define me. They have edited me and made me out to be someone who I’m not, all for their TV ratings.’
Sources have told Angle News Australia that several show participants were left ‘horrified’ after watching back this season of Paradise.
‘The contestants feel like the show that made it to air is so much different than what actually happened on the island,’ said an insider.
