It’s heating up again! MasterChef is back on the boil as it delivers its best ratings for the new season after its premiere was beaten by Lego Masters
It premiered its eleventh season to a lukewarm reception on Monday night.
But on Wednesday night, Channel 10’s MasterChef was back on top after receiving its best ratings yet for its new season.
The third episode of the reality cooking contest saw 721,000 metro viewers tune in, Mumbrella reports.

The show saw a slight improvement from its premiere, which delivered 715,000 viewers, and its second episode which drew in 678,000 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Nine’s revamp of Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation premiered its second season to a respectable 632,000 metro viewers on Wednesday.
While its ratings didn’t break any records, the first episode of the comedic, celebrity based games show saw A-list talent join the panel in the form of Australian pop duo The Veronica’s and comedian Andy Lee.

MasterChef’s win comes after the premiere for the much-hyped new season failed to boil over in the ratings next to newcomer and surprise hit Lego Masters.
The reality cooking show was soundly beaten by the Hamish Blake hosted show after it raked in 1.053m viewers in the same 7.30pm slot.
However, Channel 10’s chief content officer Beverley McGarvey put on a brave face about MasterChef’s performance.

In a statement to Angle News Australia on Tuesday, she said: ‘After 11 years, it’s great to see audiences flock back to the MasterChef Australia kitchen with 905,000 national TV viewers tuning in to last night’s launch.’
