He’s gearing up to perform the Charleston to Trip A Little Light Fantastic by Lin-Manuel Miranda from Mary Poppins Returns on Strictly Come Dancing. 

And Kelvin Fletcher has revealed he’s enlisted the help of his son Milo, 10 months, to rehearse for Movie Week as they twirled around their kitchen in a sweet Instagram clip on Wednesday.

The former Emmerdale actor, 35 – who also shares daughter Marnie, three, with wife Eliza Marsland – doted on his adorable child as he enthused he’s ‘absolutely loving’ his dance stint.

Former soap star Kelvin soared to the top of the leaderboard with pro Oti Mabuse on the BBC competition series in the opening week, has since been keen to maintain his stellar performances by honing in his footwork with his sweet son.

Beaming with delight, the media personality leapt across his kitchen while rubbing his face against a cheery Milo. 

The fitness enthusiast revealed the Mary Poppins remake holds a special place in his family’s heart as the movie marked his youngest kid’s first cinema experience.

Kelvin captioned the clip: ‘Little Milo has been helping me with rehearsals for this weekend’s #MarryPoppinsReturns Charleston!

‘This soundtrack and this song especially has been on loop in our house for the last few months since taking Marnie to the cinema (her first cinema trip) to watch it. 

‘So I’ll be doing my best and making sure I don’t disappoint! I’m absolutely LOVING this #strictly experience I feel so lucky ❤️ @bbcstrictly’, he added.

On Saturday, the hunk took to the dancefloor for his second performance with Oti, 29, with the pair dancing a waltz to What the World Needs Now Is Love by Burt Bacharach, after scoring 32 points out of 40 with their Samba routine during the show’s opening week.

Overall, the pair were once again praised for a solid performance, and scored a respectable 26 points out of 40.

The songs and dances for Strictly Come Dancing: Movie Week were revealed earlier this week, with some of the show’s most hilarious combinations to date.

Among the highlights are Mike Bushell, who will embrace Channing Tatum with a Cha Cha Cha to It’s Raining Men from Magic Mike.

Will Bayley will also deliver a Paso Doble to the Pokemon theme tune, and Michelle Visage is set to dance a Quickstep to Liza Minelli’s Cabaret.
