Cameron Diaz rushes back to her car to avoid getting a parking ticket as she carries a tiny bowl of food

Cameron Diaz sure didn’t want to get a parking ticket when she was out in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The Charlie’s Angels star was seen rushing back to her black sedan as she narrowly avoided getting a parking ticket after picking up a small bowl of food.

And even though the 47-year-old actress has been retired for five years, she still radiated movie star magnetism as she teamed a simple white T-shirt with a pair of camouflage trousers and a chic white Goyard handbag.

Sweeping her signature blonde hair into a ponytail, she accessorized with tortoiseshell sunglasses and wrapped a denim jacket round her waist.

The What Happens In Vegas star expertly carried her phone and a snack in the same hand while heading over to her car.

Cameron’s most recent film was the 2014 remake of Annie, in which she played Miss Hannigan, the role originated in 1976 on Broadway by Dorothy Loudon and popularized further in the 1982 movie by comedy icon Carol Burnett.

Last March, she described herself as ‘actually retired’ in an Entertainment Weekly retrospective interview about her 2002 film The Sweetest Thing.

The wife of Benji Madden was looking back on the movie with her co-stars Selma Blair and Christina Applegate, and the subject of a potential reunion came up.

‘I’m literally doing nothing, too! I’m semi-retired, I haven’t worked for years. I’m a mom, that’s what we do. So I’m around, man,’ said Christina.

Cameron piped up: ‘That’s so awesome. I’m totally down. I’m semi-retired, too, and I am actually retired, so I would love to see you ladies.’

By autumn, however, Variety announced a reboot of the Shrek franchise and quoted producer Chris Meledandri saying he wanted to reuse the original cast.

‘When you look back on those vocal performances they’re awesome, and while you certainly could make a case for a complete reinvention, I find myself responding to my own nostalgic feelings of wanting to go back to those characterizations,’ he said.

Benji has an identical twin called Joel, who on top of also being in Good Charlotte performs in a double act with his sibling imaginatively called The Madden Brothers.

Joel has been married since 2010 to reality-star-turned-sitcom actress Nicole Richie, with whom he has two children – daughter Harlow, 11, and son Sparrow, 10.

Nicole, who is the daughter of Lionel Richie and the half-sister of 35-year-old Scott Disick’s 21-year-old girlfriend Sofia, has claimed she introduced Benji and Cameron.

‘I’m going to take responsibility for everything!’ Nicole quipped to Andy Cohen on a 2014 episode of Watch What Happens Live, according to Us Weekly.
