DISTURBING CONTENT: Sunrise host Natalie Barr discovers mould in her 14-year-old son’s school lunchbox… after his lunch remained untouched for an entire term
She balances parenting raising two teenage boys with presenting duties on Channel Seven breakfast show Sunrise.
And on Tuesday, newsreader Natalie Barr shared a glimpse of her less then glamorous home life in a video shared to Instagram.
The journalist, 51, filmed herself opening up her her 14-year-old son Hunter’s lunchbox, which was covered with mould.

The mould was presumably the result of the bag’s contents being untouched and partially sealed for the entire school term.
‘Two weeks? A term? Who knows,’ she captioned the video, hinting that even she doesn’t know how long food was left inside.
She added the hashtags, ‘Kids are disgusting’ and ‘Get them back to school’ .

Natalie’s fellow Sunrise host Samantha Armytage was quick to comment below the post, writing ‘OMG’ alongside a nauseated-face emoji.
The Morning Show host Kylie Gillies, who also is the mother of two boys, wrote: ‘No. Words.’
One of Natalie’s followers suggested that the apple was to blame for the extent of the mould.
They wrote: ‘[It’s a] shame because the rest of the lunchbox was so clean! It’s definitely an apple and something else!’
Natalie is the proud mother of two sons, 18-year-old Lachlan and 14-year-old Hunter, whom she shares with husband Andrew Thompson.
The couple married in 1995.
