David de Gea and Anthony Martial appear to be in line to provide Ole Gunnar Solskajer with a major boost ahead of Sunday’s grudge match against Liverpool.

Manchester United’s already depleted squad has been further hit by injury over the course of the international break, with De Gea appearing to have picked up a groin strain while representing Spain earlier this week.

Sergrio Romero was in line to replace United’s No.1, but De Gea was seen checking in to the Manchester Lowry Hotel ahead of one of the most important games in Solskjaer’s troubled tenure so far.

Martial, meanwhile, has missed the last eight matches in all competitions with a muscular injury, having started the season impressively scoring twice in as many matches.

United have struggled badly for goals in his absence, but he too appears to be in line to feature against the Premier League leaders tomorrow.

Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw are unlikely to have recovered in time, however, but Solskjaer looks likely to be able to call upon Aaron Wan-Bissaka again.

The summer signing from Crystal Palace had missed the last three matches, but he too was present with the rest of the first team squad, as was fellow full-back Brandon Williams.

The 19-year-old, who made his senior debut last month and signed a new long-term contract earlier this week, also checked in to the Lowry and could provide back-up to the likes of Ashley Young and Axel Tuanazebe.
