Her sister Kelly and brother Jack became household names when they starred together with their famous parents in the MTV reality series The Osbournes.
But Aimee Osbourne, the oldest of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s three children, refused to be part of the TV show and even moved out of the family home at 16 in order to avoid it.
The now 36-year-old explained in an interview on New York’s Q104.3 Classic Rock station that she hadn’t wanted to be ‘typecast’ at such a young age and also valued her privacy.
Individual: Aimee Osbourne, 36, told a New York radio station that she didn’t appear on her famous family’s MTV reality show The Osbournes because she ‘valued’ her privacy
Aimee, who is following in her dad’s footsteps as a musician, told radio host Jonathan Clark: ‘For me, I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and … I always really valued my privacy within that family.’
She went on: ‘For me personally, and for who I am, you know, as far as morally and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn’t really line up with what I saw my future as.’
Aimee is currently promoting her single Shared Something With The Night with band ARO.
Hit show: The Osbournes debuted on MTV in 2002 and ran for four seasons. It made household names of Aimee’s sister Kelly and brother Jack, pictured with parents Ozzy and Sharon
Did her own thing: In fact Aimee, pictured with Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy in 2003, even moved out of the family home at the age of 16 in order to avoid the cameras
Aime explained: ‘I was a real kind of loner in my teens. I would sit in my room for hours with my disco ball light, listening to all my favorite bands and just kind of, you know, creating this kind of inner world in my head to all these incredible songs and artists.’
‘I wouldn’t say I was a stereotypical teen as far as type of music that I liked,’ she added. ‘I liked stuff a little bit more avant-garde and ethereal, a little darker, grittier.’
The Osbournes debuted on MTV in 2002 and ran for four seasons ending in March 2005.

Daughter Kelly, 35, has also gone on to enjoy a career as a TV personality while son Jack, 34, is also a media personality.
Aimee, pictured with mom Sharon in LA in January, has forged her own music career and is currently promoting her new single with band ARO called Shared Something With The Night
