'I found this for $6 at Kmart and when I say it's the best thing I've ever used... Brushes I didn't think had any life left in them have come back to life, it's insane,' Kelsee said (the mat pictured in action)

To use the mat, Kelsee recommends you add a drop of shampo, a little bit of water and then start rubbing your brush backwards and forwards on the different textures.

‘Oh my god, I could make my own foundation out of this,’ she said.

‘And we’re back in business!’

The mat works because it suctions onto the sink, allowing you to easily scrub makeup brushes clean on the various areas of the fluoro pink rubber mat.

Thousands who saw the post on TikTok were impressed with the budget ‘hack’.

Many wrote comments such as: ‘This is a great idea’ and: ‘I am definitely getting one’.

‘This is honestly the best thing ever,’ one woman wrote.

Others suggested washing your brushes with both shampoo and conditioner in order to leave them fluffy and clean for weeks.

While the mat is sold out in a lot of Kmart stores at the moment, it is available online.

It also boasts an impressive five star review from those who have bought it.

‘Does the job and is very good value for money,’ one reviewer posted.
