‘It will make it feel like he’s there with us’: Bindi Irwin reveals the sweet way she will honour her late father Steve on her wedding day
Bindi Irwin is in the midst of planning her wedding to boyfriend Chandler Powell.
And on Wednesday, the Australian wildlife warrior revealed how she will be honouring her late Crocodile Hunter father Steve on her big day.
Speaking to People, the 21-year-old said: ‘I really want to include Dad on the day and make sure that he is with us in some way.’

After becoming engaged on the grounds of Queensland’s Australia Zoo on her 21st birthday in July, she has been busy planning her big day.
Bindi explained to the publication: ‘We’ll be able to all get up as a little family and light a candle in his honour and share a few words on what an amazing dad he was and still is.’
Bindi was eight-years-old when her late father Steve died after a stingray barb pierced his chest during a 2006 trip for a documentary he was filming.

Bindi announced she was engaged to boyfriend Chandler back in July after he proposed to her on her 21st birthday.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a snap of her diamond ring and captioned the post: ‘On my birthday I said ‘yes’ and ‘forever’ to the love of my life.’
She continued: ‘Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness. I’m so looking forward to spending our forever together as your wife.’

She met Chandler, a former professional wake boarder, in 2013 while giving him a tour of Australia Zoo.
The Florida-born athlete now works with Bindi, her mother Terri, and brother Robert at Australia Zoo.
