Vault Hunters will start to find “Haunted” enemies appearing in various locations. These new baddies are equipped with a new “Terror” debuff that will affect your character’s vision, gun handling, accuracy, and spread. Defeating these enemies will earn you a new limited-time currency called “Heckotplasm” that you can trade-in to gain access to the Bloody Harvest map.

As seen in the trailer above, the Bloody Harvest event includes a new boss battle with Captain Haunt, a new legendary weapon, new skins for each of the Vault Hunters, a weapon skin, weapon trinket, echo device skin, grenade mod, and shield mod.

The Bloody Harvest is only the first in a series of planned, free limited-time events. There will presumably be more events. Check out IGN’s Borderlands 3 review and Borderlands 3 wiki for more of our coverage.
