Following the latest semi-final show of Britain’s Got Talent last night, viewers of the show have predicted a wave of complaints over judge Amanda Holden’s outfit choice last night (26 September).
Last night saw another round of acts competing for their place in the final, and opened with hosts Ant and Dec introducing the judges, Amanda Holden, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Ashley Banjo.
But as the judges took their socially distanced seats, viewers at home began to look at their outfits closer, with some taking issue with Amanda’s dark blue glittery dress according to the Liverpool Echo.
The dress was very low cut on her chest and had a long split on the side up to her thigh, leaving many viewers with the impression that it was inappropriate for the family-friendly show.
Many fans took to social media to predict there would be an onslaught of complaints.
James said: “After last week’s uproar, it’ll be interesting to see how many complaints Ofcom receives about what Amanda Holden is wearing tonight…”
Sammie said: “Um Amanda’s dress is a bit revealing for a family show???”
Chris Bent said: “Already predicting the ofcom complaints regarding Amanda’s dress.”
Amanda isn’t the first judge to cause a stir with her outfit choice, as last week Alesha Dixon wore a Black Lives Matter necklace in solidarity with fellow judge Ashley Banjo.
Ashley performed in the now infamous Black Lives Matter inspired dance with his group Diversity on the show, which sparked around 24,500 complaints to Ofcom – almost a record for the decade.
Fans were quick to spot Alesha’s jewellery last week and took to Twitter to praise her.
Alice said: “Living for @ AleshaOfficial ’s BLM necklaces!!! Best ‘f*** you’ you to everyone who complained to Ofcom.”
Faith wrote: “Alesha Dixon wearing a BLM necklace is such a power move and I am HERE for it.”
And Lindsay said: “Just spotted Alesha Dixon’s necklace. Good for her, stick it to the losers who complained about the dance!!”
