Peak-hour chaos in the heart of Sydney as bus mounts a footpath and slams into commuters
Several people have been injured after multiple bus crashes in Sydney’s CBD this afternoon.
A bus mounted a footpath and slammed into commuters at the corner of Pitt Street and Goulburn Street just after 5pm on Tuesday.
New South Wales Ambulance confirmed a 65 year old man received minor injuries but had a ‘lucky escape’ after being hit by the commuter.
Three people were treated for cuts after a bus slammed into a bus stop at the corner of Elizabeth Street and Park street in Sydney’s CBD on Tuesday afternoon.
He was treated on scene and transported to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition after being treated by paramedics on scene.
While another bus ran into a bus stop at the corner of Elizabeth Street and Park street at about 4.45pm, injuring three people in a separate incident.
The three people aged in their 30s- two men and one woman were treated for cuts sustained from the shattered glass of the bus stop.

Both accidents caused commuter chaos and heavy traffic around the peak travel time for Sydney’s office workers.
Traffic flow is expected to ease but delays are expected to continue for some time.
