A cashed-up property developer has been caught with cocaine at a casino while out celebrating his glamorous wife’s 32nd birthday.
Jean Nassif confessed to having ‘a bag’ of the drug when met by police and sniffer dogs at the entrance to The Star in Sydney on September 7 last year.
When he saw a large gathering of officers after he had walked up a set of escalators, the 51-year-old said ‘oh s**t’, according to court agreed facts seen by The Daily Telegraph.

The agreed facts said he then tried to go back down the escalators the same way he had come up, before police followed him and told him he was being filmed on their body-cam.
Officers then found a small bag containing white powder in his left trouser pocket, which later weighed in at 0.35 grams, with Nassif telling police he was intending on using it himself.
‘It was for myself. It is my wife’s birthday and I was gonna take it tonight,’ he said to police.
On October 14, Nassif – who shares three children with wife Nissy Nassif – pleaded guilty at Downing Centre Local Court to the possession of a prohibited drug.
No conviction was recorded due to his good character and a judge gave him an 18-month conditional release order.
His lawyer Rebekah Giles said there was more to her client’s case ‘than meets the eye’, but was not willing to give any further details.

She added Nassif regretted ‘the unfortunate circumstances’ and had co-operated with authorities.
It is understood he has now been banned from the venue, where he had regularly attended the high roller rooms for several years.
