A DAD today admitted to stabbing his three-week-old son to death and trying to kill the boy’s mother in a horrific knife attack.
Denis Beytula, 27, pleaded guilty to murdering baby Andrei Stefan after launching the assault on the child and his partner Andreea Stefan, 21, in North Tyneside on October 2.

He today showed little emotion at Newcastle Crown Court as he also pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of Ms Stefan.
And he was blasted by cops for betraying the “two people he was supposed to love and protect” in the “most violent of ways”.
Beytula had launched the stabbing attack after an argument with Ms Stefan – with the young mother managing to dial 999 for help.
He then called the police to tell them what had happened.
It comes as mum Andreea told friends how lucky she was to have survived the attack at the home in Howdon, Wallsend.
Writing on Facebook, she said she was feeling better – adding “I had good luck”.
She said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank to everyone who came to leave flowers and toys and paid respect to my son, in front of my house, I really appreciate it and thanks to everyone for the messages.
“It’s really nice to see how you guys support me and my family during this hard time.
“May God give to everyone what they deserve ! Thanks to all of you again!!”
‘SHE COULDN’T WAIT TO BE A MUM’
Since the attack, a makeshift shrine of flowers, cards and teddy bears have been left outside the home.
And devastated neighbours said the mother had been excitedly preparing for the arrival of her little boy.
One 56-year-old local said: “She was always saying how much she was looking forwards to having the baby. She just seemed really excited.”
And his wife explained how Andreea had told her she was expecting a boy.
The 57-year-old added: “She was talking to me a few days before she gave birth saying how excited she was and how she knew it was going to be a boy.
“She was really excited, they were getting stuff for the flat and getting everything ready.
“We couldn’t believe it when we heard what had happened.”

The mother said she was lucky to have survived
Police had rushed to the home about 2.15pm on October 2 to find the baby boy and mum Ms Stefan badly injured.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, baby Andrei died in hospital four days after he was stabbed.
His mother, 21-year-old Andreea Stefan, was seriously injured in the incident but was later discharged from hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Cole, of Northumbria Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET), praised Ms Steffan for being a “pillar of strength” during the ordeal.
He said: “This was a truly horrific assault that rocked an entire community and even now it is difficult to comprehend how Denis Beytula could commit these offences.
“His victims were both completely innocent and they were two people he was supposed to love and protect – he betrayed them in the most violent of ways.
“It is tragic when any life is taken away but it is particularly distressing when that life is a beautiful baby boy and I know that has had a profound effect on the wider community.”
He added: “Andreea fought for her life and because of her determination she is alive today to see this man put behind bars, but what happened that day will stay with her for the rest of her life.
“Her world will never be the same again but we will continue to offer her all the support she needs so she can try and begin to move on with her life.”

DCI Cole also praised the emergency crews who tried to save the little baby’s life.
He said: “It is hard to comprehend how they must have felt when they were administering first aid to such a young baby who had been attacked in such a violent manner.”
The defendant was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court on December 19.
