‘He missed the whole Bachelorette story’: Dave Hughes reveals the comedian who is set to clash with Angie Kent in an upcoming episode of Hughesy, We Have A Problem
Dave Hughes returned to Channel 10 on Monday with the fourth season of Hughesy, We Have A Problem.
And on Tuesday, he let slip of one awkward celebrity exchange that will appear in the new season.
‘I think he missed the whole Angie [Kent] on The Bachelorette story and just remembered her from the jungle,’ Dave said of comedian guest Ross Noble in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.

Reality TV star Angie was originally on Googlebox from 2015 to 2018, before starring on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019 and becoming The Bachelorette the same year.
‘People like Ross Noble [English stand-up comedian and actor] can come on the show and he spends a lot of his time overseas, so he’s not spending his life completely immersed in Australian pop culture,’ Dave explained.
‘In an upcoming episode, he wasn’t across the Angie Kent story I think. So Ross and Angie might have had a bit of a moment where they weren’t well aware,’ he teased.
Dave chuckled as he added: ‘He just remembered her from the jungle… I think he said from eating some sort of genitals from some animal.’

Meanwhile, the Australian funnyman said reality TV stars and comedians often butt heads on set of the talk show.
‘It can happen. When you get comedian vs. reality star, it can clash,’ he explained.
‘The comedian will go “I don’t know who you are” and some of these reality stars will then go “well I don’t know who you are!” It’s a real I-don’t-know-who-you-are off.’

Dave said he’s satisfied with how well the show has gone since its debut season in 2018.
‘It feels good, it’s satisfying that we’re still going. Our fans are loyal and they say nice things on the internet,’ he said.
‘I have fun doing it, and all my comedian mates want to come on, which is great!’
‘But it can be awkward when you haven’t invited someone on and they’re in the room and so yeah, I’m probably paranoid every time I go to a comedy room now, because there’s a number of comedians that want to come on the show.’
Comedians including Amanda Keller, Tommy Little, Tanya Hennessy, Denise Scott, Nazeem Hussain and Hamish Blake will also appear on the new season.
