Emma Hawkins reveals a friend said she 'must be amazing in the sack' to date AFL player Tom

As a public figure, footy WAG Emma Hawkins is used to dealing with anonymous online trolls.

But after receiving an insulting text message from her own friend, the wife of AFL star Tom Hawkins was left understandably shocked.

‘They were meant to send it to their friend and they accidentally sent it to me,’ Emma, 31, said during last week’s episode of The Lady Bunch with Rozalia Russian, Rebecca Harding and Elliot Garnaut

‘And [the message] was like, ‘Oh my gosh she must be amazing in the sack or else how else would she get Tom?” the mother-of-two continued.

Emma, who has been married to Geelong Cats player Tom for four years, refused to become upset by the message.

‘I wrote back going: ‘The weirdest thing is, I’m pretty sure I’m terrible in the sack!’ she proudly declared, sending Rozalia, Rebecca and Elliot into hysterical laughter.

It comes after Emma revealed how she tries to brush off nasty comments from body-shaming trolls, after welcoming her second daughter in March 2019.

Speaking to Stellar magazine last year, the blonde said she refuses to let negative comments about her post-baby body gain get to her.

‘When I’m being trolled or someone comments on my weight – if they say that on a day I’m feeling good, it’s water off a duck’s back,’ she explained.

‘But if they say that on a day when I’ve had no sleep and I’m feeling cr*p, then it will hit me where it hurts.’

Having watched everyone around her with ‘tiny baby bumps’ snap back to their pre-baby frame, Emma said she now follows ‘like-minded’ people on Instagram.

Emma met her sports star husband Tom, 31, in high school and began dating in Year Twelve.

The couple tied the knot in 2016 and share daughters, Arabella, three, and Primrose, one.
