Married At First Sight star warns people NOT to apply for MAFS 2021

Married At First Sight’s Natasha Spencer has warned people about applying for next year’s season of the controversial reality show.

During an appearance on Matty J’s The Babble podcast last week, Natasha called the experiment ‘toxic’ and told people to be aware that they could be misrepresented through editing.

‘MAFS is literally the most manipulative, toxic thing that somebody can go through,’ the 26-year-old said.

‘Just know that when you sign that first page of your contract that says they can manipulate and change your image on the show to any way that they please, and you have no control over it, that is 110% correct,’ she continued.

‘Just be aware that they manipulate things, they get you to say things more than once in different ways so they can cut and change words as they please.’

The aspiring influencer went on to warn fame-hungry applicants that they won’t be able to trust the media or paparazzi once they’re on the show.

‘You think you can trust the media because there’s paparazzi that reach out to you, but they’ll eventually screw you later on,’ she revealed.

‘The network is there for the network and you should never ever get it confused. It’s you vs the world once you get in there.’

Natasha isn’t the only former Married At First Sight participant to slam the series, with Poppy Jennings recently stating that she’d never go on MAFS again.

‘I’d rather step on Lego than go on that show again,’ she told the Finding a Unicorn podcast last week.

Poppy said the way she was portrayed on the Channel Nine reality series was ‘so inaccurate’, which left her feeling ‘angry’.

‘It’s like watching this part of your life and then there’s so much missing from it, and it doesn’t make sense,’ she said.
