However Olivia Palermo made sure not to sacrifice one iota of elegance while walking her dog through empty New York City streets on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old The City star wore a burnt orange teddy coat, a tan sweater and an off-white skirt for the chic stroll through the desolate city.

The fashion influencer paired the chic ensemble with black lace up boots and shielded her eyes with oversize sunglasses.

Her brunette tresses were worn dead straight and with a center part, and Olivia chatted on her phone as she walked.

The entrepreneur recently took to her popular Instagram account to post an impassioned plea for people to self-isolate where possible, as the coronavirus sweeps the United States and the world.

‘As a global community, we will get through this together. And by working together, we can help the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis pass more quickly,’ began her post.
