Southern Charm star and former South Carolina treasurer Thomas Ravenel has paid $125,000 to settle a lawsuit with an ex-nanny who accused him of sexual assault.
Ravenel, 57, plead guilty to third-degree assault charges in court last month, after Dawn Ledwell claimed the star dropped his pants and fondled her at his Charleston home in January 2015.
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Ravenel has agreed to pay Ledwell’s lawyer fees of $45,000, as well as donate $80,000 to the nonprofit People Against Rape in her name.
During last month’s court appearance, Ravenel was also ordered to pay a $500 fine after taking a plea deal on the assault charges.
Prosecutors say the Ledwell, 45, agreed to the deal. Ravenel was initially facing up to three years behind bars and a fine of $250,000.

In separate court documents obtained by Radar Online, Ravenel told investigators about his version of events on the night of January 25, 2015.
‘My friends and I had dinner and drinks. I do not recall exactly how much alcohol I drank that night, but by my recollection, I was intoxicated upon my return home.
‘When I returned home, I made an unwelcome advance toward Dawn [Ledwell] , which she rebuffed. Instead, she helped me upstairs to my room, offered me a back rub, and then left,’ Ravenel stated.
Speaking in Charleston County Court on September 11, Ravenel said he tried to kiss Ledwell in a rough manner, and he was wrong.

‘Your honor, on the night of the incident I did attempt to kiss her and in so doing I grabbed her arm and that was wrong, and I am much appreciative of the opportunity to apologize to her in court today,’ WCSC-TV quoted him as saying at the time.
However, a 2018 arrest affidavit obtained by Us Weekly tells a different story of events.
It reads: ‘While inside the location, [Ravenel] undressed and made sexual advances on the victim.
‘The defendant grabbed the victim’s hand and placed it on his penis before attempting to removed the victim’s clothing. While attempting to remove the victim’s clothing, the victim’s underwire bra cut into her skin and her shirt wrapped around her neck, which caused the victim to struggle to breathe.
Ravenel then allegedly ‘pulled down the victim’s pants and said ‘Show me your p—y,’ and began grabbing the victim’s vagina…

‘[When] the victim crouched down to the ground to try and prevent further assault, the defendant then put his penis in her face and asked, ‘Do you like big d**ks?’
‘After escaping the assault, the victim called her then ex-husband and sister and told them of the incident, fled the scene and notified several family members of the incident.’
Ledwell went public with her claims in May 2018.
She was the second person to come forward with assault allegations against Ravenel.
In April 2018, Ashley Perkins, a Florida-based real estate agent, claimed that Ravenel sexually battered her mother, Debbie Holloway Perkins, after meeting him on Tinder.
Ravenel denied that allegation.

Meanwhile, Ravenel has been embroiled in a separate custody dispute with his ex-girlfriend Kathryn Dennis, 28.
Back in August, a judge award Dennis joint custody of her two children she shares with Ravenel.
Ravenel had sought full custody of daughter Kensie, five, and son Saint, three, claiming his ex-partner is an unfit parent and was still using drugs.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Ravenel will be the primary legal custodian, while both were ordered to work together on health issues, education and other important decisions involving the children.
