Highway 97A fully reopened after 9 p.m., according to DriveBC.
Highway 97A remains closed and did not open as scheduled, but is now expected to open shortly.
UPDATE: 4:20 p.m.
Highway 97A is expected to reopen about 6:30 p.m.at the scene of a semi crash near Mara Lake, DriveBC reports.
UPDATE: 3:50 p.m.
Highway 97A remains closed near the south end of Mara Lake after a semi rollover crash around midday.
DriveBC reports an estimated time of reopening is not yet available.
Traffic should detour via Highway 97B and the Trans-Canada Highway.
UPDATE: 12:10 p.m.
The driver of a flipped semi on Highway 97A by Mara Lake was shaken up, but unharmed in the crash.
Witnesses report traffic is moving around the crashed rig in single-lane, alternating fashion.
Highway 97A is blocked at this hour near Mara Lake in the Shuswap.
A tractor-trailer has rolled on its side near Willow Shores Resort.
The big rig is blocking both lanes of the two-lane highway and appears to have lost the wheels off at least part of the unit.
It’s not yet known if anyone was injured in the crash.
There do not appear to be any other vehicles involved.
Emergency services are on scene.
