IndyCar weekend schedule Mid-Ohio races Saturday Sunday – NBC Sports

There are 23 drivers on the NTT IndyCar Series entry lists at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, but the Sept. 12-13 race weekend will have a few new wrinkles with oval season over.

The 13-turn, 2.258-mile road course in Lexington, Ohio, will start a run of five consecutive races on street and road courses to close 2020.

After missing the last two oval races at World Wide Technology Raceway, rookie Dalton Kellett will return in A.J. Foyt Racing’s No. 14 Dallara-Chevrolet (as Tony Kanaan’s IndyCar career goes on pause).

ENTRY LISTS: Saturday Sunday

Conor Daly also moves into Ed Carpenter Racing’s No. 20 Chevrolet as Max Chilton takes over the No. 59 Chevy of Carlin.

Championship leader Scott Dixon won the lone race at Mid-Ohio last year. The five-time series champion enters with a 96-point lead on Josef Newgarden. If he leaves the Saturday-Sunday races with a lead of at least 141 points, Dixon can clinch by just starting the last three races.
