It feels like just yesterday Rangers finally ended their last Europa League campaign against Bayer Leverkusen.
It was just six weeks ago but they’re back in action again as they take on Lincoln Red Imps in the second qualifying round in Gibraltar.
Rangers fans wouldn’t normally see such a tie as a banana skin but the change in format makes these a wee bit more difficult than usual.
A one-legged tie in Gibraltar means there’s always potential for a slip-up, particularly when you consider the Red Imps beat Celtic 1-0 here four years ago.
Rangers do have history on this ground as well, though, with a 4-0 win over St Joseph’s last season. Ryan Jack scored the opener that day but won’t be available after picking up an injury on Sunday. He joins Joe Aribo, Brandon Barker and Leon Balogun on the sidelines.
Alfredo Morelos could return to the starting lineup despite the injury he picked up in the 4-0 win over Dundee United on Sunday.
Ryan Kent has been in incredible form so far this campaign but with a big game on Sunday against Hibs in the league but Steven Gerrard has decided to rest the wideman.
