Man, 25, is arrested after a woman's body is found in a house in Blackpool

The elderly victim of a gruesome alleged murder in Blackpool has been named by police as 71-year-old Marlene McCabe.

Officers were called just before 6pm yesterday to West Park Drive in the town Ms McCabe was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 25-year-old man, whom police believe knew Ms McCabe, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
