She said the man approached her and asked for a hug.
When she refused and tried to get back into her car, the man stopped her from closing the door and pointed a knife at her.
She kicked and screamed and bumped her head and lost a shoe in the struggle before bystanders ran over and helped her, chasing the man away.
On June 18 around 1.45pm cops were called to Veterans Memorial Plaza following a report that several women were attacked by a man with a knife who matched the June 17 suspect.
In that attack a 54-year-old woman, 49-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman h told police they were attacked in the park.
Two of them said they were sitting on a park bench when the suspect approached them, asked for hugs, and asked if they wanted to ‘hook up’.

The woman said she raised up her hands for him to stay back and he threw her to the ground saying he wanted to have sex with her.
The man then stabbed her multiple times. The woman was able to escape and realized she was covered in blood.
‘We look up and we see a woman is being attacked,’ witness Teresa Jackson said to WTHR.

Cops said she suffered stab wounds to the neck and shoulder and had cuts to her left hand.
