Manchester City may not have been successful in the defence of their Premier League title for the second season running, but Pep Guardiola’s men are favourites to win back their crown next season.
After running City close last season, Liverpool have kicked on in 2019/20 season, storming the league and becoming the earliest team to be crowned as Premier League Champions.
Twenty-three points separate Liverpool in first and Man City in second, but according to bookmakers City are more likely to lift the trophy again next season.

The most common price for City to beat Liverpool to the title is 19/20, with Liverpool priced as low as 7/4 to win the league again.
Liverpool were officially crowned as Champions last week when City lost to Chelsea. The Reds have lost just one game this season – a shock 3-0 defeat to relegation-threatened Watford.
However, the latest odds say that the bookmakers think it will be a different story come next season.
Third favourites for the title are Chelsea who are priced at between 8/1 and 14/1, with Manchester United fourth favourites with 16/1 the most common odds for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.
Tottenham are priced as high as 50/1 and as low as 33/1, with Arsenal coming in at as high as 80/1 and as low as 50/1.
Leicester City, currently in third place in the league are seventh favourites, with a price as high as 150/1 available – slightly lower than the 5000/1 offered at the start of the 2015/16 season.
Odds are likely to continue to change between now and the beginning of next season, but Man City will be hoping that they can live up to expectations and win back the Premier League trophy.
