Man’s body found in Liverpool park

A man has been found dead at a Liverpool park, an area of which has been taped off by police.

The sad discovery was made at Calderstones Park shortly after 10am on Friday.

At this stage the circumstances behind the body’s discovery have not been revealed.

Police cordon at Calderstones Park after a man was found dead on Friday morning, February 14.

A police spokesman said: “We can confirm that police are currently in the Allerton area of Liverpool after a man’s body was found this morning.

“At 10.15am, officers were called to Calderstones Park after a man was sadly found deceased.”

He added: “The incident is initially being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and identify the man.

“A cordon is in place as enquiries continue.”
