A supermarket security guard has won the internet’s hearts as he stood in the pouring rain to shelter a patient dog.
Morrisons security worker Ethan Dearman was photographed braving the elements outside the supermarket in Giffnock, Glasgow on Sunday.
The picture, taken by Mel Gracie, 25, shows Mr Dearman holding a green umbrella over golden retriever Freddie, who is relaxing underneath.

She wrote to followers: ‘Shout out to this @Morrisons security man keeping this good boy dry.
‘He said “well you never know how dogs feel about the rain”.’
The selfless act came amid a yellow weather warning for downpours in Scotland.
Despite the downpours, the keen gamer doesn’t regret looking after Freddie.
Mr Dearman later quoted Miss Gracie’s tweet, telling his followers: ‘Looks like I made a lot of people happy today.’
One user, named Jenny, replied: ‘You have! What a lovely, thoughtful thing to see.
‘Morrisons are lucky to have you as this picture is an amazing advert for them. I hope they give you a bonus because you deserve one.’
Miss Gracie’s post, which has racked up more than 114,000 likes, has delighted social media users.
