Delighted Neil Lennon saluted his Celtic heroes after they banished their Cluj demons with an emphatic Europa League victory.
The Hoops boss was thrilled with his players as Odsonne Edouard and Mohamed Elyounoussi netted to fire the Hoops top of Group E with a 2-0 win.
Celtic were highly-motivated after falling short against the Romanians in Champions League qualifying and were too hot to handle on a sizzling Parkhead Euro night.
He said: “It’s fantastic (European nights), it’s what we want, it’s what the players and the fans want.
“It was an outstanding performance off the back of a great performance against Rennes.
“We looked really assured tonight but as a manager the whole team functioned perfectly.
“We wanted a bit more in the second half, sometimes our final ball was lacking in the first half.
“The second goal merited our play tonight.

“We can get better as we progress, it’s still the embryonic stages of the season but I can’t ask for any more from the players.”
Lennon is also targeting bringing back the Parkhead fear factor that was the hallmark of the Hoops in Europe.
The Irishman starred in teams that almost never lost on home turf and wants opposition to fear a trip to Glasgow’s east end once again.
He added: “Home games are really important in Europe.

“That’s the challenge and that’s what we’ve thrown down to the players.
“Our record, particularly in the Champions League and Europa League has (to improve), we’ve started well tonight.”
“I thought Mohamed Elyounoussi was fantastic from start to finish.”
Celtic face Lazio on matchday three on Thursday, October 24.
