People share the last 'normal' picture they took on their phone before the lockdown

Nostalgic social media users around the world have gone online to share pictures of the last activity they did before the lockdown.

Taking to Twitter, Britons – and those further afield – reminisced about the times before social distancing guidelines were implemented, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In the UK, the BBC asked people to share their pictures using #lastnormalphoto to show what the everyday Briton’s life looked like before COVID-19 forced the country into lockdown on March 23, eight weeks ago.

While some people shared snaps of themselves lounging in park or dancing at concerts, many chose to share pictures of their family and friends, thinking about the last time they had seen them.

Many said they never would have imagined a viral disease could have kept them from enjoying their lives at the date the pictures were taken.
