Piers Morgan is forced to apply his own make-up for GMB appearance to observe social distancing measures amid COVID:19 pandemic
He’s been passionate about the pressing need to observe social distancing measures amid the COVID:19 pandemic.
And Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan proved he’s a man who practices what he preaches as he was forced to apply his own make-up on Wednesday’s show.
The 54-year-old slipped on a leopard print robe as he shared a picture of the moment on Instagram ahead of the show.
A jack of all trades: Piers Morgan was forced to apply his own make-up for his GMB appearance on Wednesday, to observe social distancing measures amid the COVID:19 pandemic
He wrote: ‘Doing my own make-up for the first time – this struggle just got real.’
In the snap, Piers could be seen with a brush in his hand as he got to work with bags of make-up scattered across the table.
Later on, on the show, he said: ‘I have to tell you, it’s quite a weird thing. Dr Hilary [Jones], you had to do it as well, didn’t you?’
Dr Hilary teased: ‘Did it take you a long time?’
Piers continued: ‘You’ve got to remember all the bits, the foundation, the powder and god knows what else was going on.
‘I have no idea if my head is camera ready or not, and do you know what? In the general scheme of things, I don’t care.
He continued: ‘However, if it is good, maybe I should keep on doing it, like I did my own sound this morning. Well this struggle just got real. I just had to do my own make-up.’
Piers has been praised for his passionate words, telling people they MUST take this virus seriously and criticising the government’s approach to the lockdown.
He wrote on Twitter: ‘What’s an ‘essential journey’ if the Govt. advice is now that anyone who can’t work from home – regardless of what that work is – can go to work? This ‘lockdown’ is a total shambles.’
He also penned: ‘The British Govt. thinks large groups of construction workers can do their job whilst maintaining a 2-metre distance from each other.
‘This just tells me they’ve never been near a construction site & haven’t got a clue what they’re saying re social distancing. Cc. @BorisJohnson.’
