Lovre Kalinic‘s transfer may have been a popular one in B6, but it has sparked a particularly angry reaction at his new club.
The Croatian international completed his move to Toulouse earlier this week, one that will see him join the French club until the end of the season.
Kalinic was initally signed by the Ligue 1 strugglers to provide competition to first choice stopper Baptiste Reynet. However, Reynet may have gifted the Aston Villa flop with a perfect opportunity to earn a place in the starting line-up.
L’Equipe ( via GFFN ) have reported that Reynet skipped training in anger and protest, following the decision to sign Kalinic.
That move has led a number of clubs in France to monitor his situation and that a bid could come in for him in the next few hours.
It is stated that Kalinic’s transfer was initially designed to add another option to Reynet, who has under-performed this season. But his actions following Kalinic’s arrival could see the relationship between club and player damaged beyond repair.
