Shoppers are racing to get their hands on Kmart's new knit dresses – and they're BOTH under $30

Kmart has launched two knitted dresses perfect for staying warm in style this winter – and you can bag them both for a remarkable $53.

The first is a $28 ‘Tie Waist’ midi-dress with a high neckline, full-length sleeves and a built-in fabric belt which ties across the middle to cinch in the waist, making the body appear slim and well defined.

The second, a $25 ‘Crew Neck’ midi available in cream and a rusty shade of red, has over-sized sleeves and hangs looser around the body, perfect for supermarket runs and lazy days on the sofa.

Australian women have been rushing to buy the dresses since they were seen on some of the country’s top fashion bloggers who specialise in styling affordable pieces to look considerably more expensive than their actual price tags.

Such is the demand that many sizes have already sold out both online and in-store.

The $25 Crew Neck dress is still available on Kmart’s website in cream in sizes 14, 16 and 18, and in red in sizes 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20.

The $28 Tie Waist dress is still in stock in camel in sizes 10 to 18, and in black in sizes 10, 12, 16 and 18.

Affordable fashion blogger Jess Allen, who posts as The Budget Style File, shared three photos in the dress over the past month showcasing its versatility by styling it casually and as a ‘going out’ look.

In one photo, the Brisbane blogger tied a light-wash denim jacket around her waist and and accessorised with white tennis shoes and a camel mini-bag.

In another, she cinched the dress with a black Kmart belt and over-the-knee boots from Country Road which she said she bought last year.

‘So cute on you and the perfect length,’ said a third.
