David Koch has renewed his contract with Channel Seven for another two years.

He’s a winner! David Koch has renewed his contract with Channel Seven for another two years, meaning he will continue to host top-rating breakfast show Sunrise until at least 2022
The newspaper claims that David will most likely stay on his $800,000-a-year salary as Seven cuts costs amid the COVID-19 recession.
David has co-hosted Sunrise with Samantha Armytage since 2013. Before that, he shared the desk at ‘Brekky Central’ with Melissa Doyle.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Seven for comment.
Budget matters: However, he won’t be getting a pay rise to reward his almost two decades with the broadcaster because of the coronavirus recession
Sunrise recently claimed a ratings victory for the year against Channel Nine’s Today show and ABC News Breakfast, despite it only being July.
This is because the program has won the required number of weeks to qualify as the most-watched breakfast show of 2020.
In addition to hosting Sunrise, David is chairman of the Port Adelaide AFL team and operates his own business streaming service, Ausbiz.
It comes amid a changing of the guard in the breakfast TV wars.
After many years as Australia’s second most-watched breakfast show, Today has now slipped to third place behind ABC News Breakfast.
Today is hosted by Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon, while News Breakfast is fronted by Lisa Millar and Michael Rowland.
