Teacher and two students 'are stabbed at a school in Townsville' 

A teacher and two students have reportedly been stabbed at a school in Townsville.

The extent of their injuries was not immediately clear. 

Emergency crews were called to Townsville Community Early Learning Centre at about 12.40pm on Wednesday following reports of an assault.

A Queensland Police spokesman said officers were on the scene and had begun to conduct inquiries into the incident.  

The spokesman said arrests had not yet been made but the Townsville Bulletin reported a person had been taken into custody. 

Paramedics were scene assessing a woman and her child for injuries in front of the school.
