TEAMS: Eddie out, Blues bring in four, Giants lose stars

CARLTON will be without Eddie Betts against Sydney on Tuesday night with the champion small forward rested as one of four changes. 

Former No.3 pick Paddy Dow has been dropped alongside Cam Polson, while ruckman Marc Pittonet will join Betts in being managed off the five-day break.

The Blues will debut former basketballer Matt Owies, Tom De Koning will return to carry the ruck duties and Lachie Plowman (back) and David Cuningham (calf) have been cleared to play from injuries. 

Sydney will take in an unchanged line-up from the side which upset Melbourne in Cairns, with Callum Sinclair named to play after a knee concern. 

Meanwhile in the earlier game, Greater Western Sydney has lost three important members to injury for its must-win clash against Adelaide. 

Zac Williams (Achilles soreness), Brent Daniels (hamstring) and Harry Perryman (calf) will miss alongside Shane Mumford who has been rested. 

Sam Jacobs is back and will tackle his former club for the first time, while Sam Reid, Jye Caldwell and Zac Langdon have been recalled. 

Myles Poholke has lost his place for the Crows and been replaced by Andrew McPherson, with small forward Lachie Murphy cleared to play after a fitness test for a shoulder concern.
