Teenage boy stabbed to death outside McDonald’s in Stratford, east London | UK News

A teenage boy has been stabbed to death outside a McDonald’s restaurant in east London.

Officers were called at 3.20pm and said the attack happened outside the Stratford Centre mall.

The London Ambulance Service also attended but the boy, who officers said is “believed to be in his teens”, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3.49pm.

A witness said the victim was “all covered in blood” and was “in pain and tried getting up”.

He continued: “There were people around gathering. It was scary as you did not know if any of them could have had a knife too.”

A second male was also found with stab injuries and taken to an east London hospital. His injuries are not life threatening, police said.

A section 60 order, giving officers the power to stop and search in the area has been implemented, and a large part of the road outside was closed off.

Formal identification of the deceased boy has not taken place and his next of kin have not been informed.

A post-mortem examination will be held to establish cause of death.

There are no arrests as yet.

The shopping centre tweeted that it was closed and would remain so until further notice.
