The Bachelorette producers have made a subtle tweak to the rose ceremonies after viewers noticed a small detail that gave away who was going home before the end of the episode.

The tiny change will be barely noticeable to the majority of fans, but producers hope the adjustment will keep the audience on their toes.

In previous seasons, the men who have ended up with a rose have all worn magnets on their jackets to keep the the flower in place.

Those without the tiny magnet attached to their lapels have always been left empty handed.

In past seasons, a quick glance of the suitors’ lapels at the start of the rose ceremony would allow viewers to quickly work out who was going home. 

An eagle-eyed fan of the show spotted this telling detail in September 2017 during Sophie Monk’s season of The Bachelorette.

They wrote on Twitter: ‘I’ve worked out who the one going home will be. They all have magnets for the rose, except the loser.’

But this year, producers of have changed the position of the magnets in order to keep the mystery alive until the end of the rose ceremony.

The magnets are now concealed underneath the contestants’ lapels, making it impossible to work out who will be evicted ahead of time.

In Thursday’s episode, Angie enjoyed a firefighting-themed date with fellow dog lover Ryan Anderson. 

Meanwhile, Jamie Doran was slammed by fans after he admitted to being a ‘clinger’ during a tense confrontation with Angie at the cocktail party.
