The Block star and former Penthouse Pet Suzi Taylor is hit with 51 new charges

The Block star and former Penthouse Pet model, Suzi Taylor, has been hit with 49 new charges and refused bail.

Taylor, 49, was arrested in Maroochydore on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on June 20 and is back in court amid fresh fraud and false impersonation allegations.

The Block 2015 contestant, whose real name is Suellen Jan Taylor, is also accused of breaching her bail conditions for other charges on 49 occasions.

She briefly appeared via video-link on Tuesday in Brisbane Magistrates Court, where she was surprised not to be granted bail.

‘What? Yes?’ Taylor said.

Her lawyer pointed out to Taylor there would be no bail application.

‘That is fairly academic given the fact bail was refused on the other charges,’ Magistrate Suzanne Coates said, ignoring Taylor.

The fresh charges relate to allegations that Taylor failed to abide by her bail conditions to report to police and reside at a known address between March 26 and June 8.

At court, she had told prosecutors she was ‘too sick’ to report to Brisbane City police station, despite at the same time advertising her services as an escort.

She is also accused of falsely representing herself as a fictitious person named Sue Ray with intent to defraud and dishonestly gaining benefit on April 24 at an apartment in South Brisbane.

No details about those charges were revealed in court.

Taylor was remanded in custody to reappear on July 1, when she is also facing 10 other bail breaches.
