The Newport restaurants extending Eat Out to Help Out into September

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme has drawn customers into restaurants throughout Wales this summer.

The bargain offered people the chance to get 50%, up to a maximum of £10, off their meal and non-alcoholic drinks for the first three days of every week in August.

Unfortunately, the scheme will end after Bank Holiday Monday.

But some pubs, restaurants and cafes have decided to extend offers into September.

Some restaurants are extending the scheme to the end of the month and beyond, while others are offering the deal until September 9.

84,000 restaurants signed up to the original scheme, with the most recent figures showing 64 million discounted meals had been served in the first three weeks alone.

Here are some of the Newport restaurants extending Eat Out to Help Out discounts into September:

Villa Dino



Villa Dino, Newport

This well-established Italian restaurant is extending the Eat Out offer on almost the same terms.

Customers can enjoy 50% off food and soft drinks up to a maximum of £10 per person every Wednesday and Thursday in September.

The restaurants owners say it is a “thank you” to all those who have provided support following their re-opening.

Vittorio’s

Management of Vittorio’s said they are offering an extension to their offer because “we can’t let these chains have all the fun”.

The offer will remain under the same terms throughout September.

Bistrot Pierre

Bistrot Pierre have decided to give a short extension to their Eat Out offer.

Customers will benefit from a 50% discount on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout this week (August 31 to September 2), before closing the deal for good.

Managers recommend booking so customers don’t miss out, but there are plenty of other midweek deals to choose from later this month.

The Gaer Inn



The Gaer Inn, Newport

This favourite Newport local is extending their offer for the entirety of September.

The pub’s management said customers can enjoy 50% off all food from Monday to Wednesday with no £10 cap.

Hard to argue with that.

Junction 28

Customers can still enjoy the Eat Out to Help Out offer every Wednesday at Junction 28 until the end of September.

It’s a popular choice, so it might be worth booking a table.

Wetherspoons



The Queens Hotel in Newport

Wetherspoons will be offering discounts after the Eat Out to Help Out scheme closes.

Operator JD Wetherspoon will replace the offer with its own reduced prices scheme.

Customers will enjoy reduced prices on a range of meals and drinks from Monday to Wednesday until November 11.

Brain’s pubs



The Hanbury Ale House in Caerleon is one Brains pub offering the deal until September 9

Cardiff-based brewery SA Brain is extending the offer until September 9.

The roast dinner chain has said it will keep the discounts going for two weeks after the end of the scheme.
