Two men arrested as police launch investigation into Poulton Road stabbing

Merseyside Police have arrested two men, a 17 year-old and 20 year-old, on suspicion of wounding.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident on Poulton Road which saw a man in his 20s stabbed.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: “We have launched an investigation following reports of an assault in Wallasey this afternoon, Monday 21st October.

“We were called at 1.35pm to reports that a man in his 20s had been assaulted on Poulton Road and had suffered a stab injury to his neck.

“The man has been taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries which are not being treated as life threatening.


“Two men, a 17 year old and a 20 year old have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 Wounding and taken to custody for questioning.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information which could assist the investigation is asked to DM @MerPolCC or call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting log 487 of 21st October.”
