UFC 251 start time in the UK, fight card and more

The UFC has landed on Fight Island – and what a card it has in store to kick off the action.

No fewer than three title fights are on deck tonight with the action headlined by a hastily-arranged main event.

Welterweight world champion Kamaru Usman was due to defend his belt against Gilbert Burns before the challenger contracted Covid-19.

Usman will instead take on Jorge Masvidal who was initially offered the fight but turned it down due to the size of the purse on offer.

Earlier in the evening, Peter Yan and Jose Aldo will clash for the vacant bantamweight title while Alexander Volkanovski will defend his featherweight title in a rematch against Max Hollloway.

Here is everything you need to know about tonight’s fights…

What time do the fights start?

The early prelim fights will start at 11pm UK time followed by the prelim fights at 1am with the main card starting at 3am.

The fights will be shown on BT Sport 1 from 1am on Sunday morning with the prelim fights; the early prelim fights will be shown on UFC Fight Pass.
