Lewis Capaldi had a hilarious response to being the subject of a question on Tuesday’s (September 8) edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

On the episode, contestant Clea Rawinsky was in the hot seat looking to bag £32,000 when host Jeremy Clarkson asked: “Who recorded the UK number one album ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent?”

The options were: Robbie Williams, Billie Eilish, Stormzy, and, of course, the correct answer, Lewis Capaldi.

But poor Clea was stumped and she ended up using both her ‘phone a friend’ lifelines, having no luck with either.

Trying to figure out the right one, she declared: “I don’t even know who Lewis Capaldi is!”

However Clea then used her 50/50 narrowing it down to Robbie and Lewis and she took a very lucky guess, managing to get the answer right.

But never one to miss an opportunity to poke fun of himself, Lewis responded hilariously on Twitter, posting a series of tweets followed by the same video of Clea saying she’d never heard of him.

Lewis tweeted: “Me: wow can’t believe we’ve sold 1 million copies of my album in the U.K. this week, I’ve made it!! Life: [inserted video of Clea’s reaction]”

He then followed up with: “Dark fruits twitter every time someone mentions my name

And then: “Me when I’m hungover and haven’t showered on a flight and someone asks if I am who they think I am,” followed by: “Me looking at myself in the mirror having an existential crisis after a weekend on the booze.”

Lewis also said he was going to monetise his ‘new-found’ fame tweeting: “I don’t even know who Lewis Capaldi is’ merch coming in the next few days.”

Never change, Lewis.
